About the role:

Kong is expanding the UI Engineering team to India and is looking for highly talented JavaScript engineers to help create scalable, robust, responsive and accessible user interfaces and components packages for our applications.

As a Frontend Engineer, you will be instrumental in enhancing our Konnect product/platform. Your role involves close collaboration with fellow frontend engineers and the product team to deliver scalable components and frontend solutions, ultimately enhancing the application's user experience. The UI components and experiences you build will form the bedrock of every usecase in Konnect, necessitating a keen eye for detail and user experience.

What you’ll be doing

• Building highly visible Konnect features using latest frontend frameworks like Vue/Nuxt, TypeScript

• Building prototypes and functionalities using Konnect UI component systems

• Collaborate with design and build scalable, responsive UI components

• Work with engineers, product managers and designers to build UI functionalities.

• Write tests (component, regression, smoke) using Cypress, Playwright, Vitest with great code coverage.

• Working on major Konnect features like Cloud Gateways, Debugger and other platform features.

What you’ll bring

• 3+ years of professional experience of frontend frameworks like Vue (preferred), React, Nuxt

• 3+ years of experience building SaaS Web applications and web developer tools using HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript

• Great understanding of UI/UX principles and understanding of user and developer experience.

• Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

• Can design and build features from limited specification and design artifacts.

• Able to work with CI/CD, Github Actions

• Able to learn new systems and languages with short ramp up period

• Can own projects and communicate effectively with stakeholders

• Build pixel-perfect UI from design specifications

• Familiar with API Gateways

• Worked on SaaS applications
