POSITION SUMMARY

Casa BACARDÍ is a multiuse visitor attraction, groups and events space, retail shop (onsite and online), bar and food kiosk. Casa BACARDÍ is located on the BACARDÍ rum production plant. Receiving visitors on the operating manufacturing site requires adherence to the utmost safety and security practices.

Casa BACARDÍ offers world-class hospitality, education, and experiences. The operation is efficient and adaptable to respond to changes in seasons, market demand, events that impact growth or contraction, and the ability to receive the public.

The flexible and agile operation is supported by a cross-functional team. The Casa BACARDÍ Retail Host brings the BACARDÍ brand to life by providing exceptional customer service in professional and cheerful to ensure an elevated customer experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPOSABILITIES include but are not limited to:

Customer Service:

· Genuinely and enthusiastically welcome all visitors as they enter the Gift Shop with a smile.

· Be readily available to answer questions or concerns in a helpful and courteous manner.

· Initiate conversation with our visitors and assist in the selection of merchandise by asking open-ended questions. Be readily available to make recommendations as needed. Present options for merchandise with enthusiasm and demonstrate product knowledge by sharing features and benefits.

· Offer additional items on the sales floor and during checkout.

· Process all register transactions quickly and efficiently while providing exceptional customer service. Ensure all register processes are performed correctly.

Merchandise and Inventory Control:

· Performs hourly and daily restocking duties to ensure all products are available for the visitors.

· Notes miscounted, damaged, or missing items and notifies the Manager on Duty and Retail Manager.

· Assist in daily and annual physical inventory procedures.

· Review incoming merchandise against inventory list for shipment accuracy. Ensure all merchandise items are properly tagged and priced for inventory accuracy.

· Assist in organization and maintenance of the backroom to keep it neat and accessible.

Other duties:

· Inform management of supplies needed. (Boxes, bags, paper, etc.)

· Assist with any light cleaning duties required to maintain the Gift Shop neat and clean.

· Perform any other duties as assigned by the manager on duty.

· Support all areas of the Casa BACARDÍ operation as needed to maintain an elevated level of service to customers, including but not limited to ticket sales, bar, tours, kiosk, gift shop, online shop, warehouse, setting and bar back, among other areas.

· Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and events as needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree
• 1 year or more of experience in Retail Industry.
• Fully Bilingual, Full domain at Conversational English
• Experience cash handling and using a POS system.
• Organization skills
• Driver's license
• Able to drive trolley, golf carts and other official vehicles.
• Completely Vaccinated (Covid- 19).

SKILLS

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish
• Familiarity in electronic systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, Admit One, POS)
• Effective use of the Internet and e-mail
• Willingness to learn practices and procedures related to the operation.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic and attention to detail, without close supervision.
• Follow all policies/procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules, regulations, and emergency procedures established at the facility.
• Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
• Work effectively under pressure.
• Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative.
• Must be honest, trustworthy, reliable, dependable and strive to do the best job possible under all circumstances.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers, visitors, suppliers, and others encountered in employment.
• Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
