Key Responsibilities: Providing Top-Notch Technical Support

As a Remote IT User Support Specialist, you will be the go-to expert for resolving technical issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues via email, corporate messengers, phone calls, and text messages
  • Installing, modifying, diagnosing, and repairing computer hardware and software as needed
  • Tracking requests and issues in the enterprise ticketing system (via Jira) and asset database, redirecting problems to the relevant resources
  • Escalating unresolved queries to the next level of support to ensure prompt resolution
  • Utilizing your technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve complex IT issues efficiently

Essential Qualifications: The Ideal Candidate

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in IT user support, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional technical assistance
  • Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to handle multiple issues simultaneously
  • Knowledge of help desk software, ticketing and issue tracking systems, and remote-control software
  • Proficiency in setting up, configuring, and using both Windows and Mac platforms
  • Strong knowledge of API and office applications, including Antivirus products, MS Office, Adobe products, and email clients
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills, with a strong customer service focus

Preferred Qualifications: Adding an Extra Layer of Expertise

While not mandatory, the following qualifications can give you a competitive edge:

  • Experience with Jira ticketing system and asset database management
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies, such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, and digital currency
  • Certifications in IT support, such as CompTIA A+ or ITIL Foundation
