CastleGate Shipping is on a mission to become a top-tier forwarder in the industry, leveraging Wayfair's extensive e-commerce platform and supplier network. At the heart of this endeavor is NaviOS, our proprietary operating system designed to supercharge our expanding cargo shipping business. NaviOS serves as the comprehensive digital source of truth for real-time tracking, and as a key team member, you'll play a crucial role in managing this platform and extracting valuable insights from its data.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to devise and execute strategies, utilizing both proprietary and industry-standard tools, to enhance our business understanding and drive results.
• Build and lead a high-performing analytics team through training, experience, and new talent acquisition, creating a vision, roadmap, and workflow to deliver value rapidly to the organization.
• Drive effective operations within CastleGate Shipping by leveraging your in-depth knowledge of supply chain, global cargo, and key drivers affecting the business.
• Advance cost-effective supply planning by identifying and automating key drivers in time for the organization to act.
• Partner with diverse teams to evaluate the balance between speed and cost, articulating the relationship and implications of these trade-offs.
• Conduct in-depth analyses that yield actionable insights, which can be disseminated across the broader Wayfair organization.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• A four-year degree in Math/Statistics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field. A graduate degree is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, utilizing advanced statistical models, scenario analysis, and clustering/segmentation techniques.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, Python, and R.
• Capability in web scraping, including extracting data from websites, handling HTML/XML/JSON formats, and utilizing related Python libraries. Adherence to legal and ethical web scraping guidelines is a must.
• Proven leadership abilities with a history of building, driving, and growing high-performing teams.
• Experience in managing and executing large projects from inception to end, including project management, data gathering and modeling, problem-solving, and communication of recommendations.
• Academic curiosity and a strong work ethic, particularly for transforming large amounts of data into meaningful insights.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
