As a remote Epic Applications Systems Analyst II-Grand Central/Prelude, you will play a vital role in driving our organization forward by analyzing, building, testing, supporting, and maintaining systems that benefit our hospital system and those we serve.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Epic Applications Systems Analyst II-Grand Central/Prelude to join our remote team. As a key member of our IS team, you will work collaboratively with users and peers to understand and capture business needs, develop requirements, and design, implement, and support new information systems and changes to existing systems. If you have a strong customer service orientation, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and a passion for information technology and information systems, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with users and IS peers to understand and capture business needs and develop requirements for small to medium applications.
  • Analyzing and documenting application processes and functions.
  • Defining design alternatives and recommendations and developing specifications, often in collaboration with business partners or vendors.
  • Building or configuring systems.
  • Developing and executing test scripts to ensure software accuracy, completion, and validity.
  • Developing IS internal procedures and documentation.
  • Working with customers to troubleshoot and solve moderately complex problems and provide production support.
  • Communicating with customers regarding the status and completion of requests, in an agreed-upon, timely manner and/or in accordance with an applicable Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Documenting in the ITSM system to define standards.
  • Thoroughly and diligently following change control processes, when applicable.
  • Following IS-defined support model and expectations in communicating with customers.
  • Using Lean and ITIL principles to investigate and improve existing inter- or intra-team processes.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or relevant experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
  • At least 2 years of information technology experience in a relevant healthcare or business area.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, or in a relevant operational area for the position (i.e., Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Revenue Cycle, etc.), or in an information technology role supporting a relevant operational area.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Knowledge of key concepts, current developments, and trends in information technology and information systems relevant to the position, including application configuration and system layers, system integration, and database fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform systematic, thorough analysis and problem-solving, and to initiate client problem resolution.
  • Understanding of system integration key concepts and technical protocols.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish, conceive, and describe systems, designs, flow charts, schedules, and requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that promote effective working relationships with a wide range of people, including peers.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
