The Healthcare Attorney role is a unique opportunity to work on a flexible, remote basis, with a range of exciting projects and clients. You will be responsible for providing high-quality legal advice and support to clients on a variety of healthcare-related matters, including regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, physician contracting, and healthcare leasing and real estate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Counsel clients on various federal and state regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, fraud and abuse laws, Stark and anti-kickback issues, and licensure matters
  • Advise clients on mergers and acquisitions involving healthcare providers, hospitals, and labs
  • Negotiate and draft physician contracts and other healthcare-related agreements
  • Provide guidance on healthcare leasing and real estate transactions
  • Assist clients during internal investigations and respond to government inquiries
  • Work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality results for clients

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To be considered for the Healthcare Attorney role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications:

  • 3+ years of corporate or operational healthcare experience
  • Prior experience practicing in the Health Law practice group of a sophisticated law firm or the in-house legal team of a healthcare provider
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
  • Excellent academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Outstanding professional references

In addition to the essential qualifications, we prefer candidates with:

  • A strong background in healthcare law, with a focus on regulatory compliance and transactional work
  • Experience working with a range of healthcare clients, including providers, payers, and medical device companies
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality results for clients

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package, with annualized pay ranging from $150,000 to $200,000+ when calculated on a full-time basis. In addition to pay, all Latitude contract professionals receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage. Benefits-eligible Latitude contract professionals also receive a range of benefits, including:

  • A CLE and Professional Expense stipend
