Business Development Executive IT / Government Sector

About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Business Development Executive to support new client engagements and expand our presence in government markets, particularly within the IT services sector. The ideal candidate will excel at identifying opportunities, building relationships, and contributing to proposals and strategic planning to drive organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities: Identify and qualify new government IT opportunities. Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, partners, and stakeholders. Support proposal development, including opportunity analysis, solution framing, and pricing. Collaborate with internal technical and delivery teams to align solutions with customer needs. Track and report on pipeline activities using CRM tools and business development metrics. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings. Provide input on market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategy.

Required Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client engagement, preferably within government or technology sectors. Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills. Understanding of government procurement processes is a plus. Experience preparing proposals and responding to RFPs or RFIs. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams. Proficiency with CRM tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms. Bachelor s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with federal or state government clients. Familiarity with IT services, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, or digital transformation initiatives. Prior experience supporting large-scale contracts or grants.
