Job Overview

This entry-level position is designed to provide comprehensive training in the manufacturing processes of aircraft, with a focus on structural assembly operations. As an Operations Trainee, you will work in a team environment under direct supervision, performing a variety of tasks that require strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Our goal is to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in this role and potentially progress to more senior positions within the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Under specific instruction and guidance, perform fitting of detail parts and basic drilling and riveting operations using basic mechanic hand tools (pneumatic drills, rivet gun, counter sinks, reamers, and files, etc.)
  • Ensure parts and work content meet the instructions of assigned manufacturing employees and/or Quality Control Inspectors
  • Learn to read work orders, blueprints, and specification sheets to determine sequence of operation and work requirement
  • Align and assemble parts to be riveted using holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners
  • Observe and assist to become familiar with parts and assemblies, then work with decreasing supervision as experience is gained
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including maintaining good housekeeping and safety practices

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Enrollment in a Technical Aviation program preferred
  • Essential communication skills, including listening and computer keyboard skills
  • Aptitude for hands-on craftwork, professional attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work with people and meet demanding schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
  • Knowledge of aircraft manufacturing processes and procedures
  • Proficiency in current personal computer-based software
  • Ability to read a scale and perform basic shop math
  • Ability to read and comprehend basic documents and instructions
