Job Summary
Theoria Medical is seeking an experienced Employment Attorney to oversee employment-related litigation and manage insurance coverage matters impacting labor and employment risks. This role is critical to protecting Theoriaâs legal and financial interests across a complex regulatory landscape. The attorney will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel to mitigate legal risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and support a healthy workplace culture across our business operations.
Shift Structure
- Remote position, Full Time, M-F, 40-50 hours/week
- Preferred hours: 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. ET
Key Responsibilities
- Legal Counsel & Compliance
- Provide strategic advice on employment law issues, including performance management, terminations, accommodations, leaves of absence, and workplace policies.
- Lead or oversee internal investigations involving employee complaints or potential legal exposure.
- Recommend corrective actions or legal strategies to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Stay current on federal, state, and local employment laws and advise HR and management on compliance.
- Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and training programs related to employment practices.
