Experienced Math Success Supporter (In-Person) – Driving Academic Excellence in Southwest Ohio

Job Summary
As an Experienced Math Success Supporter (In-Person), you will play a critical role in helping students understand and master complex math concepts. You will work one-on-one or with small groups of students to provide supplemental instruction and support in areas such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus. Your expertise and patience will help students develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in math and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials to ensure that lessons are effective and engaging for students
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to students in areas such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus
- Observe students' behavior during lessons and provide feedback to improve performance to teacher of record
- Develop an individualized plan for each student based on his or her specific needs
- Help students develop study skills such as time management, study skills, and note-taking
- Meet with students individually or in small groups to provide supplemental instruction in math subjects
- Evaluate students' strengths and weaknesses in math subjects and recommend appropriate coursework or tutoring sessions
- Provide feedback on student progress and offer additional assistance as needed
Qualifications
* Associate Degree or higher in mathematics or related field
- Exceptional math skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely explain mathematical concepts
- Teaching or tutoring experience preferred
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Patience and creativity in finding different ways to explain concepts
- Ability to adapt instructional delivery to meet the needs of individual students
Additional Information
* Employment Provisions: Temporary Assignment, Unrepresented, Maximum Hours per Week: 17 Hours During School Hours
- Locations: Hughes High School, Taft High School, Shroder High School
- Salary: $25.00 per hour
