Responsibilities

As our Associate Director of Customer and Product Insights, you will be responsible for leading the customer and product research and insights function for the blithequark Value portfolio of brands. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Defining and Prioritizing the Research Roadmap: Proactively develop and prioritize the research roadmap across brand and product teams, ensuring that our research efforts are aligned with business objectives and deliver actionable insights.
  • Leading a High-Performing Team: Manage, mentor, and coach a team of insights professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure their success and growth.
  • Conducting Hands-On Research and Storytelling: Conduct hands-on research and storytelling during team growth stages as needed, leveraging your expertise to drive business decisions.
  • Setting a High Bar for Research Rigor and Insights Storytelling: Establish and maintain high standards for research methodology and insights storytelling, ensuring that our research efforts are of the highest quality.
  • Overseeing Vendor Partnerships: Collaborate with vendors to leverage quality research methods and manage budgets efficiently, ensuring that our research efforts are cost-effective and deliver high-quality insights.
  • Collaborating with Marketing Insights Leads: Work closely with Marketing Insights leads to build an integrated understanding of customers and market dynamics, driving business decisions that deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Forging Relationships with Adjacent Teams: Develop relationships with adjacent insight, analytics, and intelligence teams to enhance market understanding and drive business decisions.
  • Representing Customer Insights in Leadership Forums: Represent customer insights in leadership forums, informing decision-making and action planning with data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Overseeing Team Performance and Professional Development: Oversee team performance and professional development, providing feedback and coaching to ensure the success and growth of your team members.
  • Promoting Engagement with Business Senior Leadership: Engage with business senior leadership as a consumer champion, promoting the importance of customer insights in driving business decisions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience: A bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Relevant Experience in Marketing, Customer Experience, or User Experience Research: Eight or more years of relevant experience in Marketing, Customer Experience, or User Experience research.
  • Experience Designing Qualitative and Quantitative Research Programs: Experience designing qualitative and quantitative research programs to address business needs.
  • Strong Command of Advanced Quantitative Methodologies: A strong command of advanced quantitative methodologies such as maxdiff, conjoint, segmentation, and cluster analysis.
  • Experience with Qualitative Research Methods: Experience with qualitative research methods like focus groups, in-depth interviews, and ethnography.
  • Ability to Synthesize Data from Multiple Sources: Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources into actionable insights and recommendations.

Nice-to-Haves

While not required, the following experience and skills would be highly valued:

  • Experience Managing a Team: Four or more years of experience managing a team of three or more people.
  • Experience Providing Insights for Value Proposition Development: Experience providing insights for value proposition development.
  • Experience Leveraging Secondary Data and Trends: Experience leveraging secondary data and trends to inform business scenarios.
  • Ability to Present Insights Compellingly: Ability to present insights compellingly and establish rapport with Senior Leadership.
  • Experience in Consumer or Business Space Marketing, CX, or UX Research: Experience in consumer or business space marketing, CX, or UX research.
  • Demonstrated Effective Consultative Skills and Business Acumen: Demonstrated effective consultative skills and business acumen in the telecom industry.
