Key Responsibilities:

As an Experienced Customs Trade Coordinator, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to clients, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Processing customs documentation, including import and export records, duty calculations, and other related documents
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of shipments, including tracking numbers, delivery dates, and other relevant information
  • Collaborating with internal teams, including sales, operations, and customer service, to ensure seamless communication and coordination
  • Staying up-to-date with changing regulations and requirements, including customs laws, tariffs, and other trade-related policies
  • Utilizing various software systems and tools, including MS Office, Viewpoint, and other relevant applications
  • Performing other duties as assigned, including data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as international trade, logistics, or business administration
  • At least 6 months of experience in a related field, preferably in customs brokerage or international trade
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations, tariffs, and other trade-related policies
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Viewpoint, and other relevant software systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high volume of work and tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions

Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience with customs clearance software, such as FedEx's customs clearance system
  • Knowledge of international trade laws and regulations, including the Harmonized System (HS) and the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)
  • Certification in customs brokerage or international trade, such as the Certified Customs Broker (CCB) or the Certified International Trade Professional (CITP)
  • Fluency in multiple languages, including Spanish, French, or other languages commonly used in international trade
