Job Summary

As a Customer Service/Sales Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for providing fast, friendly service to our customers by actively seeking out their needs and providing assistance. You will learn about our products and services using our tools and provide information to customers to sell an entire project. You will work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments to ensure that our customers receive exceptional service and support.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide fast, friendly service to customers by actively seeking out their needs and providing assistance

  • Learn about products and services using our tools and provide information to customers to sell an entire project
  • Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department
  • Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
  • Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards
  • Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments
  • Participate in sales and customer service initiatives to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers to build loyalty and drive repeat business

Essential Qualifications

* 1-2 years of experience in customer service or sales

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in a retail or sales environment

  • Knowledge of building materials, décor, electrical, flooring, garden, hardware, kitchen and bath, lumber, millwork, paint, plumbing, and tool rental
  • Experience with sales software and tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
