Job Summary

As an Experienced Customer Team Member, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and supporting the smooth operation of our retail stores. You'll work closely with your colleagues to ensure that our customers receive outstanding service, and that our stores are safe, clean, and well-stocked. If you're passionate about customer service, have great people skills, and are flexible and adaptable, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide friendly and thoughtful service to customers, responding to their queries and championing Co-op products and Membership

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to solve problems and deliver a great shopping experience
  • Ensure the store is safe and legal, maintaining high standards of housekeeping and stock management
  • Support the introduction of new products and services, sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues
  • Contribute to local community initiatives and events, promoting Co-op's values and commitment to social responsibility

Essential Qualifications

* A genuine care for the needs of customers and a positive approach to change and problem-solving

  • Great people skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Flexibility to work a range of different shifts, including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing role

  • Knowledge of Co-op products and services
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly
