Overview
The Customer Service Specialist is a vital role that requires a unique blend of customer-centricity, product knowledge, and operational expertise. As a specialist, you'll create an exceptional shopping experience for our customers by:
- Greeting everyone with a smile and proactively approaching customers to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.
- Serving as the primary customer service provider at the front end and liaison between customers and management.
- Providing register coverage as needed and ensuring strong customer service standards are met by supporting cashiers through complex transactions.
- Assisting the manager with department scheduling, directing workflow, daily associate assignments, and monitoring department presentation standards.
- Upholding company merchandising and presentation standards by following established floor sets, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment standards.
- Promoting and providing training to new and current teammates on company programs, such as customer loyalty program participation, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment, and more.
- Adhering to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures, maintaining confidentiality of all company information.
- Creating an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome, safe, and treated with respect.
- Taking an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.
- Performing other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications
To succeed as a Customer Service Specialist at blithequark, you'll need:
- Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift 15 to 35 lbs. items occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).
- Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
Clearances and Requirements
Based on the location of the House of Sport, you may be required to submit relevant state-mandated clearances to supervise minors.
