Job Responsibilities

As an Experienced Data Analyst on our Transportation Analytics team, you'll be responsible for:

• Working with large, messy, disparate datasets and performing ad-hoc analyses to inform critical business decisions
• Creating ETLs or scripts that pull data from multiple sources and centralize it in a single table
• Developing data visualizations to display and quantify the impact of changes and specific business challenges
• Engaging with team members and cross-functional groups on a regular basis to establish credibility and share insights
• Analyzing stakeholder needs and partnering with Operations, Finance, and Product groups to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and latency across multiple operations and systems
• Leveraging scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate reporting tasks, such as metrics prioritization and outlier recognition
• Documenting your approaches and sharing your expertise with colleagues, as well as mentoring junior team members to become Subject Matter Experts

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Excellent SQL skills, with the ability to manage data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity (2-4 years of experience)
• Creativity with a User Experience basis to develop impactful Tableau dashboards (1-2 years of experience)
• Business Operations Fluency, with the ability to recognize and root-cause business problems, ideally with a Supply Chain background and transportation experience
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, advanced experience with SQL and Tableau, as well as experience with e-commerce operations or parcel service operations, would be a significant asset. Additionally, experience with Python or other scripting languages, as well as data manipulation tools like Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, etc., would be beneficial.
