Responsibilities

As a Retail Customer Service Expert, you will be responsible for:

  • Connecting with customers via phone, email, chat, and social media to resolve their questions or concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Calmly attempting to resolve and de-escalate any issues that may arise, using your exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
  • Escalating interactions when necessary and appropriate, ensuring that customers receive the support they need
  • Responding to requests for assistance and/or processing payments in a secure and efficient manner
  • Tracking all call-related information for auditing and reporting purposes, ensuring that our team is always informed and up-to-date
  • Providing feedback on call issues, helping us to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous growth
  • Upselling when required, using your knowledge of our products and services to provide customers with the best possible solutions

Requirements

To succeed as a Retail Customer Service Expert at blithequark, you will need:

  • The ability to work remotely in a virtual team environment, using your own devices and equipment (BYOD)
  • A minimum of 6 months of customer service experience, preferably in a retail or e-commerce environment
  • To be at least 18 years of age
  • The ability to type 25 words per minute (wpm) with high accuracy
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Comfort with desktop computer systems and software applications
  • Proven oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Logical problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
  • The ability to navigate Windows operating systems and other software applications
  • Organization and work prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

Nice-to-Haves

While not essential, the following skills and qualifications would be highly desirable:

  • Experience working in a retail or e-commerce environment
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) software and other customer service tools
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
  • Fluency in multiple languages
  • Experience working in a virtual team environment
