Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric, Databricks & Power BI

It's fun to work at a company where people truly believe in what they are doing! Job Description: Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Data Engineer to join our data team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation in Python, SQL, and the Microsoft Data Stack, including Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and Power BI. You will play a key role in building and maintaining scalable data pipelines, supporting analytics initiatives, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using Databricks and Microsoft Fabric
  • Write optimized SQL queries and develop data transformation logic
  • Automate data workflows and ETL processes using Python
  • Integrate and manage data across Azure Data Services (e.g., Data Lake, Synapse, SQL Database)
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for business stakeholders
  • Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and business teams to understand data needs
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across systems
  • Document data processes and contribute to engineering best practices Required Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL (must-have)
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and Power BI
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Data Stack (e.g., Azure Synapse, Data Factory, SQL Server)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Nice to Have:
  • Certifications in Databricks, Azure, or Microsoft Fabric
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git)
  • Exposure to data modeling and ETL frameworks
  • Industry experience in financial services or legal domains Education:
  • Preferred: Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field. Certifications:
  • Required: None
  • Preferred: Certification in data engineering or a related field. The Compensation range for this role is 116,000 to 135,000.00 USD annually and may be eligible for an annual bonus. Your specific salary will be determined based on several factors:
  • Location-based market rate for the role
  • Your abilities in relation to the job specification
