About the Role
As a Sensing Technology Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for working on system-level prototyping, integration, characterization, and validation of sensing technologies. You will be part of a talented team that integrates MEMS, magnetic, and capacitive sensors across a range of Apple products, including iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks. Your expertise in analog and mixed-signal system-level circuit design will be crucial in driving the development of innovative sensing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and launch next-generation sensing technologies for Apple products Work on system-level prototyping, integration, characterization, and validation of sensing technologies Perform failure mode analysis, root cause diagnosis, and system-level problem-solving using analog circuit simulations and data analysis Design schematics for boards and flexible assemblies, and conduct future-era scoping and proof-of-concept investigations Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Mechanical Engineering, Firmware Engineering, and System Engineering, to deliver effective sensing solutions Manage multi-functional technical development of sensors and present to executive management on key features and issues Contribute technical insights to strategic decision-making related to technology and investments Occasional business travel to support product development Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have: At least 2 years of relevant industry experience in analog and mixed-signal system-level circuit design A strong electrical engineering background, with a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) or equivalent Proficiency in MATLAB, SPICE, or similar simulation and modeling tools Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong teamwork and leadership competencies Preferred Qualifications To stand out as a candidate, you should have: Sensor and systems integration experience Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects A proven track record of driving innovation and delivering results in a fast-paced environment What We Offer At Apple, we offer a comprehensive compensation package that includes: A competitive salary, with a base pay range of $131,500 to $243,300, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location Opportunities to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs Comprehensive medical and dental insurance, retirement benefits, and other perks Discounts on Apple products and services, as well as reimbursement for certain educational expenses Discretionary bonuses or commission payments, as well as relocation assistance (if applicable) Career Growth and Development At Apple, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
