Job Responsibilities
As a Full Stack Data Engineer on our BI and Analytics Solutions team, you'll be responsible for:
- Working closely with stakeholders and engineering groups to design, develop, and implement data structures and ETL methods that facilitate the evaluation of key business questions and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Partnering with associate engineering groups to enhance data infrastructure, data availability, and access to customer insights through BI tools across the organization.
- Designing, building, and implementing ETL methods using AWS and similar technologies to ensure seamless data integration and processing.
- Implementing anomaly detection systems to proactively identify potential data quality issues using industry-standard frameworks.
- Enabling large-scale analytics using EMR and other big data technologies to drive business insights and inform strategic decisions.
- Establishing and enforcing data quality best practices that are followed across the organization.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions that meet business needs and drive growth.
Essential Qualifications
* 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in data modeling, warehousing, and ETL pipeline development.
- Proficiency in SQL and one or more query languages (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, MDX, HiveQL, SparkSQL, Scala).
- Experience with one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, KornShell).
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with complex data structures and develop innovative solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and EMR.
- Experience with data warehouse technical architecture, infrastructure components, ETL, and reporting/analytic tools and environments.
