Our team is responsible for building the Open Join Manipulate Aircraft, a complex system that includes:
- Cloud microservices that customers interact with directly after pressing 'Play'
- Systems for ensuring seamless and resilient streaming of videos
- Services critical to making cloud video games work
- Load-balancing algorithms for optimizing hardware utilization
Challenging Questions and Innovative Solutions
We're constantly seeking answers to complex questions like:
- How can we design our systems to react to failure, internet traffic shifts, and other real-time adjustments?
- How do we steer traffic for live streaming over the backbone?
- How can we quality-assure the most popular content to improve the viewer experience?
- What is the optimal way to ingest petabytes of content into our machines to optimize throughput?
- How should we design our streaming hardware given purchaser behavior?
