Associate, Operational Analyst (Investment Management Development Operations)

Lido Advisors is a firm focused on modernizing operational and data infrastructure within investment management. The Operational Analyst will support financial analysts and operational leads by assisting in investment management workflows, data validation, and process automation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist financial analysts with account reviews, trade-order workflows, and day-to-day investment operations
  • Prepare and validate data sets from various custodians and systems
  • Monitor incoming operational requests, track statuses, and ensure timely follow-up with advisors and internal stakeholders
  • Support documentation, accuracy checks, and exception handling
  • Work with senior analysts to identify process gaps, manual bottlenecks, and opportunities for automation
  • Assist in creating SOPs, workflow maps, and checklists that improve consistency and reduce operational risk
  • Write simple Python scripts for data cleaning, formatting, or validation (training provided)
  • Perform CSV/Excel data transformations and collaborate with Data Science/DevOps on automated processes
  • Assist in testing data pipelines and validating outputs from internal tools
  • Participate in cross-functional projects related to our data infrastructure, operational workflow automation, and AI-enabled processes

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Economics, Business or a related field
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • High attention to detail and task ownership
  • Basic familiarity with Python
  • Proficiency with Excel
  • Coursework or internship experience in finance, accounting, data analytics, or investment operations
  • Exposure to SQL, Python data libraries, or any scripting environments
  • Interest in wealth management, financial markets, and investment analytics
  • Willingness to or progress towards achieving the CFA charter
  • Experience working with CRM systems
