Job Description:

As a Data Engineer at arenaflex, you'll be part of our Development Knowledge and Establishments Information Designing team, which is responsible for making basic information accessible to improve "in-the-moment" experiences across different product materials for both current and future Netflix users. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with data researchers and other engineers to build low-latency data products that drive calculations and AI models that impact our business, character streams, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop distributed systems, cloud applications, and data science infrastructure to support our business growth and user engagement.
• Work with product managers to understand business requirements and develop data-driven solutions to meet those needs.
• Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance data pipelines and architectures to support our data science and machine learning initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data governance, security, and compliance policies.
• Develop and maintain APIs, services, and structures to support data integration and exchange.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of high-quality, maintainable code.
• Work with our data engineering team to design and implement data warehousing and business intelligence solutions.
• Collaborate with our data science team to develop and deploy machine learning models and algorithms.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure high availability and uptime of our data systems.

Essential Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, or related field.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud computing, and data science concepts.
• Experience with data engineering tools and technologies such as Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, Apache Spark, and AWS.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Scala, Python, or C++.
• Experience with data storage systems such as relational databases, NoSQL databases, and data warehouses.
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance policies.
• Experience with API design, development, and deployment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, or related field.
• Experience with cloud-based data engineering tools and technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with data science tools and technologies such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.
• Strong understanding of data visualization and business intelligence tools and technologies.

Skills and Competencies:

* Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud computing, and data science concepts.
