Cost Accountant

As a Cost Accountant, you will support the Finance & Accounting team by analyzing inventory, production costs, and providing financial guidance to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the annual physical inventory & cycle count programs
• Maintain, generate, and analyze periodic inventory reports
• Analyze inventory, production costs, overhead, and operational expenses to identify trends and recommend improvements
• Support budgets and financial forecasts
• Perform month-end close activities, including analysis of accounts and preparation of journal entries
• Provide financial guidance to the Production Operations group on cost accounting questions and issues
• Analyze data discrepancies and assist with identifying corrective action and process improvements
• Develop and prepare account reconciliations, annual audit work papers and assist with auditor inquiries
• Play a key role in the improvement of financial processes, reporting, and enhanced use of financial and ERP systems
• Support general ad hoc analysis and manufacturing transaction problem resolutions
• Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules

Skills

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience
• Ability to gather and analyze detailed financial data resulting in recommendations to business leaders
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to work with various stakeholders and cross functional project teams
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong computer skills: Excel, Word, Oracle ERP
• Power BI and/or Power Automate Experience
• Manufacturing Experience
• CPA or CMA
