Lockton, Inc. is the largest privately held independent insurance brokerage in the world, and they are seeking an Employee Benefits Financial Analyst to support the Analytics & Insights team. This role involves providing accurate financial data analysis and reporting for client programs to optimize employee health benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare routine financial and statistical reports for internal use, ensuring accuracy and clarity
  • Maintain and update data templates, spreadsheets, and databases to support team reporting needs
  • Assist in the development and application of standard financial models and formulas under supervision
  • Analyze internal data to identify trends and support decision-making for client initiatives
  • Support the benchmarking process by gathering and organizing relevant data
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of deliverables
  • Stay informed on relevant industry developments and internal policies
  • Protect the confidentiality of company and employee information at all times
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent education and/or experience, with emphasis in math, statistics, or finance required
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in data analysis, financial reporting, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of financial and statistical concepts; willingness to learn more advanced modeling
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with PowerBI/SQL/Python is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for internal collaboration
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness and ability to expand knowledge through extended insurance education and other appropriate training
  • Ability to work on a computer for prolonged periods and outside normal business hours as needed
  • Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft
  • Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting the confidentiality of client and company information
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to attend company, department, and staff meetings as required and perform other work-related duties as assigned
