Buyer - Cosmetics; Emerging & Masstige Brands

Target is a company dedicated to helping families discover the joy of everyday life. They are seeking a Buyer for Cosmetics, focusing on Emerging and Masstige Brands, who will be responsible for planning profitable assortments and collaborating with vendors to drive category results.

Responsibilities

  • Own a wide SKU count to ensure varied and challenging work
  • Plan profitable and locally relevant assortments using insights into guest shopping behavior and market requirements
  • Influence and negotiate with vendors to achieve results and identify gaps and opportunities
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive category results while managing progress toward sales and margin goals
  • Partner with product designers and category managers to guide product development and source appropriately for the category
  • Interact with Associate Buyers, Senior Merchandise Specialists, and other expert partners in support of promotional planning across channels

Skills

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of Merchandising experience
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills to grow a business
  • Strong collaboration skills to partner with Cross Functional Teams
  • Flexibility, resilient and comfortable working in “grey areas” that are constantly changing
