Job Overview: Elementary School English Language Arts Tutor - Part Time We're seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic Elementary School English Language Arts Tutor to work with students in Mount Juliet, TN. As a part-time, remote tutor, you'll be responsible for providing personalized instruction, guidance, and support to students in the English Language Arts subject area. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your teaching or tutoring experience, passion for education, and strong communication skills to make a positive impact on students' lives. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions for elementary school students in English Language Arts, tailored to their individual needs and learning styles. Develop and implement effective lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments to support student learning and progress. Communicate regularly with students, parents, and our office to ensure seamless tutoring experiences, address concerns, and provide session reports within 24 hours of each session. Balance tutoring hours, manage your schedule, and maintain accurate records of sessions, progress, and student interactions. Collaborate with our team to ensure exceptional service delivery, share best practices, and contribute to ongoing quality improvement. Essential Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field and industry, preferably in teaching or tutoring. Strong understanding of elementary school English Language Arts curriculum, instructional methods, and assessment techniques. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse learning styles and needs. Basic computer skills, including data entry, typing, and recording. Reliable transportation, current car insurance, and access to a computer, smartphone, and internet. Preferred Qualifications: Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees in education or a related field. Experience with specialized education fields, such as special education or English as a second language (ESL). Familiarity with educational software, online resources, and digital tools. Strong administration and time management skills. Skills and Competencies: Passion for education, teaching, and learning. Strong subject matter expertise in English Language Arts. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks. Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to learn and grow.
