Engineering Designer, Municipal

R.V. Anderson Associates Limited is an employee-owned company dedicated to fostering a collaborative culture. They are seeking an Engineer-in-Training, Municipal to prepare designs for various infrastructure projects and coordinate approvals and tender documents.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of preliminary and final designs for road reconstruction and infrastructure renewal projects, stormwater projects, culverts, watermains, sanitary and storm sewers and grading
• Preparation and coordination of approvals, tender documents, cost estimating, contract documents and reports
• Preparation and editing of AutoCAD and Civil 3D design drawings as required
• Participation in contract administration services and inspections where required
• Other duties as required where appropriate for the position

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution
• 0-7 years' engineering experience is preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Membership with the PEO is an asset
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D is an asset
• Demonstrates superior English communication skills both oral and written
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and in an interactive team atmosphere
• Knowledge of Microstation and InRoads is an asset
• Construction inspection and/or survey experience is beneficial
• Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
