HubSpot CMS Front-End Developer Needed for Full Website Rebuild (Custom Theme + Module Development)

We’re looking for a front-end developer with real HubSpot CMS experience to rebuild a website in HubSpot from the ground up. This is a full rebuild, not a marketplace theme tweak and not a drag-and-drop-only project. There is an existing domain and SEO that we'll want to leverage. We need someone who can take approved Figma designs and build a complete, custom HubSpot CMS implementation that includes a custom theme, a reusable module system, and the full set of page templates needed to launch a new site. We’re a creative consultancy working on brand-forward, content-driven websites. The site needs to feel carefully designed, perform well, and be easy for non-technical marketers to update without breaking layout or design consistency. You should be comfortable working with HubL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as needed, and you should have strong judgment about how to build modules that offer flexibility without creating a chaotic editing experience. We expect you to be comfortable with HubSpot’s theme architecture and ideally the HubSpot CLI for local development and version control. We’re also relatively new to designing specifically for HubSpot, so we’re looking for someone who can engage consultatively. We’ll need your guidance on design and build tradeoffs within the HubSpot CMS, how to structure modules and templates for long-term maintainability, and how to keep the editing experience clean and intuitive for our team. This project includes building the foundational design system inside HubSpot (global typography, color palette, spacing and button styles), creating custom modules that map to our Figma components, building page templates for core site pages and landing pages, and supporting blog and system templates as needed. We’re aiming for a clean, scalable build that we can maintain and extend over time. To be considered, please share a brief description of your HubSpot CMS website build experience and confirm whether you’ve built full HubSpot CMS sites from scratch (not just edited themes). Please include one or two examples of HubSpot websites where you were responsible for building the custom modules and templates. Screenshots are fine but links are preferable. Please also confirm whether you work locally using the HubSpot CLI. At this stage, we’re primarily looking to identify the right-fit developer for this project. We don’t have a finalized scope yet, but we’re actively building a detailed scope and plan to have it ready in late January. We expect to start with a short paid discovery and an initial build milestone (likely a landing page or key page template) and then expand into the full site build if the collaboration is a good fit.
