Description The Property & Specialty Delivery Program Management team is seeking an accomplished Program Management Director to lead the development of our newest Direct channel Homeowners program, HMR 3. This individual contributor role will coordinate across business, data science, and technology teams to deliver exceptional value to our customers. The right candidate will ramp up quickly, work independently, move at pace, drive clarity across teams, and ensure rigorous documentation and accountability throughout the program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end program management of a complex, multi-year technical project focused on developing new homeowners insurance rating programs within Liberty Mutual's Property and Specialty Product Delivery organization
  • Clearly define project scopes, deliverables, milestones, and timelines, ensuring alignment across teams
  • Build and maintain detailed program plans, manage execution
  • Implement strong governance and communication frameworks to promote transparency and stakeholder engagement across all levels of the organization
  • Proactively identify risks, manage dependencies, and facilitate timely resolution of issues to keep the program on track in a fast-paced, large enterprise environment
  • Drive accountability and ownership among cross-functional teams
  • Provide clear, concise, and timely status reporting and presentations to senior leadership and key stakeholders
  • Navigate and influence within a complex organizational matrix to maintain program momentum and remove blockers

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent in mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative field
  • Minimum 7 years relevant work experience, typically 10 years
  • PhD or equivalent research experience beneficial
  • Expert skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (eg, SAS, Emblem)
  • Must have exceptional planning, analytical, decision-making, communication, and project management skills
  • Experience managing or leading others beneficial
