Experienced Member Services Representative – Remote Customer Service Position at arenaflex

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our credit union's daily activities, including check processing, direct deposits, and budget transfers.

Job Responsibilities:
As a Member Services Representative, you will be responsible for:
- Completing daily tasks related to check processing, direct deposits, and budget transfers
- Coordinating returns with vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions
- Assisting other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and accounting standard ledger balancing
- Working member cases/assignments as assigned
- Following and maintaining guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws
- Processing mortgage bills, multi-account, and member deposits, credit card bills, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks
- Reviewing, examining, and approving Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
- Logging, reviewing, and making necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns
- Processing Stop Pays and Check Batching
- Completing daily balancing and department closing
- Obtaining information from members for the timely and correct processing of international and domestic budget transfer requests
- Researching and verifying incoming and outgoing budget transfer information
- Communicating with vendors to process budget transfers
- Understanding and being familiar with outgoing and incoming budget transfer laws
- Depositing check returns, reviewing member back checks on draft changes, processing member checks, affirming members for outgoing budget transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing budget transfers
- Completing daily processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, supply of receipts, international collections, and legal fees
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school degree or equivalent
- Intermediate Excel and Word experience
- Ability to work prolonged hours in support of business needs
- Ability to exercise excellent customer service skills
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple responsibilities, and function as an integral part of a team
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and review data
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet time limits under high volume pressure
- Ability to cross-train and perform any position assigned within the department
- Ability to interact professionally with all personnel and members
- Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
- Ability to self-motivate with strong employer skills and ability for attention to detail
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet time limits
- Ability to maintain excellent performance and attendance
- Must pass relevant arenaflex and Credit Union pre-employment compliance exams
Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous customer/member service experience
- Previous banking or Credit Union experience
- Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience
