Sr Buyer, Global Procurement Operations Center [Remote]

The Global Procurement Operations Center (GPOC) is a high-impact team within Paramount, working in close partnership with the Global Procurement organization to drive operational excellence, ensure compliance, and deliver measurable cost savings across the enterprise. As Sr. Buyer you play a critical role in reviewing and approving purchase requests for goods and services across managed spend categories (e.g., Marketing, Technology, Research). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Global Procurement, Procure-to-Pay (PTP), and Technology and Business Stakeholders to support strategic procurement initiatives. This role is currently hybrid, but will likely transition to a fully onsite schedule in Q2 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and manage indirect procurement strategies across assigned categories.
  • Review and approve purchase requests in Ariba and Oracle, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Execute procurement strategies and support competitive bidding to achieve cost savings
  • Collaborate with Category Managers and stakeholders to meet business objectives
  • Determine appropriate procurement approach (local vs. regional) based on spend and supplier profile.
  • Serve as a liaison between suppliers and internal teams to resolve procurement issues and provide guidance on purchasing procedures.
  • Support enterprise initiatives such as ERP implementation and procurement tool deployment.
  • Generate and analyze purchasing reports to support decision-making.
  • Contribute to team projects and continuous improvement efforts within the procurement function.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years procurement experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Proficiency in SAP, Ariba, and Oracle systems (Oracle Fusion experience preferred)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience in the media, entertainment, or broadcasting industry
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities
  • Proven negotiation skills and a commitment to delivering value
