Job Overview

In this critical role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients requiring home healthcare services. Your primary responsibility will be to handle incoming calls from providers, referral sources, and patients, addressing their inquiries, and providing support with complex requests. As a Healthcare Customer Service Expert, you will work in a fast-paced, remote call center environment, managing approximately 60-65 calls per day. Your exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to navigate multiple applications will be essential in collecting clinical and demographic information and entering it into our portal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate excellent empathy and patience when dealing with difficult callers or complex requests
  • Comply with all arenaflex policies, including HIPAA/PHI, to ensure the confidentiality and security of patient information
  • Strive to meet or exceed individual performance goals in areas such as Call Quality, Attendance, Adherence, and other Contact Center objectives
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve shared goals and objectives, fostering a positive and supportive work environment
  • Utilize dual monitors and multiple applications to efficiently manage calls and data entry
  • Provide accurate and timely information to patients, providers, and referral sources, ensuring a seamless experience

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience in a call center environment
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in the healthcare or medical industry, with a strong understanding of medical terminology
  • Intermediate keyboarding abilities, with a minimum of 30 words per minute, and data entry skills while actively listening
  • Basic PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams
  • A passing score on the SHL Customer Service Phone Simulation Assessment

Technical Requirements:

To perform this role, you will need:

  • A reliable internet connection with speeds of 2mb/10mb upload and 10mb/25mb download or higher
  • A high-speed internet connection, such as fiber or cable, with a hardwired ethernet cable
  • A quiet, dedicated workspace with minimal distractions
