[Remote] Senior Compensation Analyst

The Senior Compensation Analyst will conduct compensation analyses, design and evaluate total compensation programs, and support client-related requests to ensure high-quality client experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research to understand industry and client-specific issues, including financial information, compensation and rewards and corporate performance, with guidance
  • Research, gather and analyze data to determine the appropriate compensation level (e.g., salary, incentives) and job title/reporting level for existing and proposed positions
  • Conduct market pricing, assist in peer group selection, survey analyses, interpret compensation data, financial modeling and special research projects, with guidance
  • Assist with report and proposal writing as it relates to describing and summarizing project objectives, methodologies, analysis and results as well as proofing for accuracy
  • Support the project team in the development of solutions to address client issues including program design alternatives, financial impact and implementation considerations
  • Respond to client-related requests, as appropriate
  • Participate in appropriate Client Delivery Team meetings to understand team and client initiatives

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field (required), ideally with an emphasis in finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, accounting or health care administration
  • 2+ years of business-related experience, preferably involving data analysis, financial modeling and presentation design
  • Solid technical knowledge and experience working with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to identify, compile, analyze and organize data using a logical and systematic process
  • Recognize patterns and issues in sets of data
  • Identify most data issues and proactively seek guidance to determine the most appropriate solution
  • Identify obstacles impeding project steps or task achievement
  • Apply analytical and proactive thinking in a logical, coherent and consistent manner
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with the project team and tailor communications, formal or informal, to the audience
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and writing skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced, and priority-changing environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exhibit high levels of enthusiasm and passion for serving our clients and appreciate their mission-based work
  • Are a self-starter with demonstrated ability to successfully assist with project deliverables in a very driven and changing organization

  • Experience working within a consulting, compensation or health care-related firm preferred
  • Basic programming experience is a plus
