Key Responsibilities

As a Ramp Agent (Customer Service Agent) at arenaflex Australia, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Safely loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, ensuring timely connections and guiding incoming and departing aircraft from gate positions.
  • Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather conditions.
  • Operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion.
  • Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure accurate routing of baggage to customers' destinations.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to passengers, responding to their queries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.

Work Environment and Shifts

As a Ramp Agent (Customer Service Agent) at arenaflex Australia, you'll work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying shifts, including early morning, evening, and overnight shifts. You'll be required to work between 20 and 40 hours per week, based on operational needs and your seniority. Each station is unique, with its individual flight schedule, so you'll need to be flexible and adaptable to meet the demands of the role.

Compensation and Benefits

As a Ramp Agent (Customer Service Agent) at arenaflex Australia, you'll receive a competitive salary of $19.00 per hour, with regular pay increases through 10.5 years of service. You'll also enjoy a range of benefits, including:

What You Need to Succeed

To be successful as a Ramp Agent (Customer Service Agent) at arenaflex Australia, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in Australia.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Pass a physical ability test (PAT).
  • Ability to wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hearing protection, safety-toe footwear, protective headwear, and high-visibility safety apparel.
  • Ability to hold airport-specific requirements, such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, having the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:

  • Previous experience in customer service or a related field.
  • Knowledge of airport operations and procedures.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures.
