PayPal is a global leader in commerce, revolutionizing the way money is moved and managed. They are seeking a Software Engineer to implement tasks within the Software Development Lifecycle, collaborate with peers, and contribute to code and design reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Implements tasks within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), receiving structure and oversight from more experienced staff
  • Follows well-established internal conventions and standard procedures
  • Understands internal standards & processes an applies them to make technical decisions
  • Collaborates with peers, manager, and project lead to gain understanding of tasks and review solutions
  • May contribute to code & design reviews
  • Build modern, responsive React components for UI
  • Integrate with REST and GraphQL APIs for targeting, measurement, and reporting
  • Implement data-rich visualizations for real-time campaign insights
  • Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to define and deliver new features
  • Ensure accessibility, performance, and privacy compliance across all merchant-facing tools
  • Help shape front-end architecture and contribute to shared component libraries

Skills

  • 1+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of front-end experience, including deep React expertise
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and browser performance best practices
  • Experience with crypto, ad operations workflows, or real-time data dashboards
  • Proficiency in building secure, scalable, accessible web apps in a production environment
  • Comfort working in ambiguous 0→1 product environments
  • Bonus: Experience with analytics frameworks and campaign management interface
