PayPal is a global leader in commerce, revolutionizing the way money is moved and managed. They are seeking a Software Engineer to implement tasks within the Software Development Lifecycle, collaborate with peers, and contribute to code and design reviews.
Responsibilities
- Implements tasks within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), receiving structure and oversight from more experienced staff
- Follows well-established internal conventions and standard procedures
- Understands internal standards & processes an applies them to make technical decisions
- Collaborates with peers, manager, and project lead to gain understanding of tasks and review solutions
- May contribute to code & design reviews
- Build modern, responsive React components for UI
- Integrate with REST and GraphQL APIs for targeting, measurement, and reporting
- Implement data-rich visualizations for real-time campaign insights
- Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to define and deliver new features
- Ensure accessibility, performance, and privacy compliance across all merchant-facing tools
- Help shape front-end architecture and contribute to shared component libraries
Skills
- 1+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years of front-end experience, including deep React expertise
- Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and browser performance best practices
- Experience with crypto, ad operations workflows, or real-time data dashboards
- Proficiency in building secure, scalable, accessible web apps in a production environment
- Comfort working in ambiguous 0→1 product environments
- Bonus: Experience with analytics frameworks and campaign management interface
