Inside Sales Application Engineer
Cornell Pump Company is a leader in manufacturing centrifugal pumps for various industries including mining. They are seeking an Inside Sales Application Engineer to support customers in selecting the right equipment, managing quotes, and building strong relationships with customers and dealers.
Responsibilities
- Answer customer questions by phone and email about equipment selection
- Help customers choose the right pump models using technical information (BOMs, curves, dimensions)
- Prepare quotes and process sales orders
- Follow up with leads and existing customers
- Address technical and business questions or concerns
- Provide product demonstrations when needed
- Support and manage larger projects
- Build strong relationships with dealers, customers, and coworkers
- Represent the company at dealer events, trade shows, and customer visits (some travel required)
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field or equivalent hands-on experience
- 1–2 years of inside sales or related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Mechanical aptitude
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Mining industry knowledge is a plus
