Junior System Administrator

KBR is a leading provider of engineering and advanced technology solutions for national security. The Junior System Administrator will maintain operational readiness for US Space Force missions, providing critical support for mission IT systems and ensuring effective system administration.

Responsibilities

  • Provides Network, Storage, Windows/Linux Server Support, Database and Web Server Administration Video Monitoring Systems, and resolving helpdesk tickets beyond the ability of KBR’s Junior System Administrators
  • Assist users with troubleshooting/correction of issues on mission IT systems
  • Support test activities, technical troubleshooting, and anomaly resolution on mission IT systems to maintain 24/7/365 mission readiness and/or resolve issues quickly to minimize mission impacts
  • Perform systems administration of desktops, databases, and server systems connected to developmental networks
  • Provide desktop system management involving account monitoring, security, operating system (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions on mission-support IT equipment
  • As needed, assist SW developers with establishing and troubleshooting DevSecOps environments to support SW development and test prior to deployment on mission equipment/networks

Skills

  • Active Secret clearance required
  • Bachelor's degree in related field; or requires an equivalent combination of related training and experience
  • Certifications: Minimum IAT Level 1, hardware/software specific training/certifications
  • Experience with and understanding of NIST 800 series
  • Experience with an understanding of ICD 503
  • Military / DOD experience
  • Clearable to TS/SCI
