California Department of Social Services is dedicated to serving and supporting the people of California. They are seeking an Analyst II to perform analytical activities and provide technical assistance to county welfare departments regarding the CalWORKs program.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analytical activities including technical assistance to county welfare departments regarding the CalWORKs program
  • Providing guidance to county welfare departments regarding program regulations through verbal and written policy interpretations
  • Case file reviews and statewide policy instructions
  • Reviewing county data and responding to county questions
  • Analyzing proposed and existing statute and regulation
  • Developing, drafting, and issuing regulations
  • Development of new tools in accordance with new policy
  • Collaborating with various stakeholder groups regarding policy development
  • Coordinating and participating in county policy and data reviews

Skills
