Assistant Account Executive

GMMB is a company committed to making a difference in the world through various social issues. They are seeking an Assistant Account Executive to manage client projects, develop content for social media, and assist account teams with strategy and media monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Keep projects on task by staying organized, able to juggle multiple requests, developing and maintaining client-facing project management documents, including but not limited to, timelines/calendars, agendas, meeting notes, project and budget trackers
  • Develop content calendars and asset recommendations for client’s social media channels (including drafting copy for leading platforms such as LinkedIn, Meta and X and offering perspective on the latest social trends)
  • Assist account teams with drafting and editing client-facing memos to provide counsel on strategy
  • Help us understand the landscape and track our success, by performing media monitoring and research and by analyzing metrics and compiling reports
  • Schedule and coordinate client, internal and vendor meetings and video calls
  • Assist project teams with day-to-day execution of client work, including but not limited to conducting or summarizing research, writing and editing documents, pitching reporters, collecting stories, compiling meeting notes, updating status reports, and coordinating logistics and deliverables between account, creative, digital, media, and/or production departments
  • Become well-versed on assigned clients and their priorities and issue areas
  • Learn the services of the firm including communications/earned media, event planning, production, creative development, advertising, and social media
  • Learn and adapt to new skills and situations, balance multiple clients and deadlines, and clearly communicate about questions and project status
  • Be a team player who isn’t afraid to work hard, raise your hand, pitch in regardless of the task, and proactively take on assignments

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience
  • Previous internship or experience with community service, political campaigns, public relations, communications, journalist, public policy, advertising or related field
