Overview:

Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health is searching for a Strategic Account Manager for the Benelux area to drive profitable growth and long-term value creation within a portfolio of key strategic customers. This role focuses on complex, high-impact customer relationships, where commercial performance is achieved through deep customer understanding, multi-level engagement, and solution-oriented selling rather than volume-driven territory management.

As a Strategic Account Manager, you will be accountable for achieving budgeted sales and gross margin targets within your assigned strategic accounts, while shaping and executing customer-specific commercial strategies in close collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
  • Owning and developing a portfolio of strategic customer accounts with full accountability for achieving budgeted sales and gross margin targets.
  • Monitoring competitive activity and market trends within your strategic account landscape and reporting insights to the Commercial Director and relevant leadership stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Defining and executing customer-specific commercial strategies in alignment with the broader business and sales objectives.
  • Building and maintaining multi-level relationships within customer organizations to strengthen long-term partnerships and support value-based selling.
  • Driving the introduction of new products and solutions within strategic accounts by identifying opportunities and aligning internal expertise.
  • Managing complex sales projects and opportunities, coordinating internal resources and removing obstacles that may impact commercial effectiveness.
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution of customer strategies and optimal use of internal resources.
  • Contributing to annual sales planning and commercial strategy discussions together with the senior area sales manager. 
Qualifications:
  • An experienced commercial professional with +- 10 years of experience in sales or strategic key account management within a complex B2B environment in the animal feed  or additives industry. 
  • Skilled in applying structured selling techniques and able to work effectively within the Kemin sales process to manage multi-level customer contacts. 
  • Highly capable in time management, prioritization, and organization of data, with a strong ability to analyze customer challenges and recommend appropriate solutions.  
  • A clear and effective communicator, comfortable engaging both verbally and electronically with customers, peers, and senior stakeholders 
  • A collaborative team player who contributes positively across functions and communicates well with colleagues at all levels of the organization.  
  • Personally driven, highly motivated, and eager to make an immediate impact, with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
