What You Can Expect

As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for achieving sales through others by providing strategic selling direction for assigned region, including clinical product expertise. This is a field-based sales management position focused on attainment of Zimmer Biomet sales goals, growth targets to gain market share and objectives. You will lead a team nationally and may deputise in the absence of the Sales Director.

How You'll Create Impact

  • Regional key account planning, management & segmentation.
  • Salesforce and management recruitment, training, development and succession planning.
  • Salesforce performance management.
  • Develops relationships with customers to drive sales and acquire new accounts.
  • Develops sales and marketing strategies and drives its execution to support sales growth and competitive advantage.
  • Assists the BU Director in the formulation of yearly and quarterly budgets.
  • Ensures that regional sales & gross margins targets are achieved.
  • Supervises and implements the strategies decided upon and ensures that the highest professional standards of behaviour and performance are maintained by the sales force.
  • Travels in the field on a regular basis with each team member to assess performance and training needs.
  • Ensures that each sales team member has all of the necessary product knowledge and selling skills.
  • Liaises with the SAM & TDS team to administration of all contracts & tenders within the region are completed.
  • Acts as stand manager and provides the necessary sales personnel at any exhibition being held within the region.
  • Provides a detailed monthly report to the BU Director, containing all necessary information regarding region and individual performance, market intelligence etc.
  • Responsible for keeping SalesForce.com up to date for the region in cooperation with the SR & CSS team members.
  • Adheres to divisional PRAM guidelines.
  • Establishes and maintains close personal relationships with regional thought leaders.
  • Coach and mentor team members enabling them to fulfil their performance potential within the Company whilst supporting Company talent management requirements.

Your Background

  • Degree in sales management, business administration, or similar with 5-8 years business experience.
  • Proven track record in the health care sector, with exceptional capabilities to drive sales.
  • Strong networking capabilities and sound business acumen to identify, plan, and execute on sales opportunities.
  • Strong knowledge in Orthopaedics, and ideally also in Surgical, with specific knowledge of competitor’s products and strategies
  • Demonstrates characteristics of high potential for future development opportunities
  • Fluency in English, French & Dutch

Travel Expectations

  • Regular travel by car within the territory area.
  • Country travel as may be required with overnight stays.
  • Occasional international travel as required.
