What you´ll do The Sr Production Planner supports production operations by coordinating material procurement and production scheduling. This role ensures the timely availability of materials, maintains optimal inventory levels, and aligns production plans with demand forecasts. The position works closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Customer Service teams to enable smooth operations and on-time delivery.

  • Analyze material requirements and create purchase orders to ensure uninterrupted supply.
  • Monitor inventory levels, safety stock, and consumption trends to determine appropriate order quantities.
  • Coordinate with suppliers on delivery schedules, documentation, and follow up on late or missing shipments.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Engineering to resolve supplier or material-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules aligned with forecasts and customer orders.
  • Issue and track process orders, monitor WIP and finished goods inventory, and communicate schedule updates to stakeholders.
  • Partner with Logistics, Operations, and Sales to align production and shipment plans.
  • Utilize data and analytics to identify trends, optimize material planning parameters, and improve forecast accuracy.
  • Support continuous improvement of material planning, scheduling, and reporting processes through KPI monitoring and root-cause analysis.

What makes you a good fit

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (preferred).
  • 1-3 years of experience in procurement, production planning, or supply chain management.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Office skills; experience with data analysis or reporting tools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Team-oriented and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) preferred.

The salary for this role is $85,000.00- $95,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
