Job Title: Data Entry Specialist

Job Description

As a Data Entry Specialist, you will play a critical role in formatting, proofreading, and finalizing various documents, including reports, letter proposals, and task orders. You will apply company templates, margins, fonts, and letterheads while adapting to specific client style guides, especially for government agencies. This position requires managing and processing large, complex documents, potentially involving thousands of pages and hyperlinking, as well as converting documents to PDF and inserting signatures and dates.

Responsibilities

  • Format, proofread, and finalize reports, letter proposals, and task orders.
  • Apply company templates, margins, fonts, and letterheads.
  • Convert documents to PDF and insert signatures and dates.
  • Adapt to specific client style guides, particularly for government agencies.
  • Manage and process large, complex documents with hyperlinking.
  • Utilize an admin log spreadsheet to track and manage incoming requests.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, including advanced features like tables of contents and footers.
  • Ability to create and manage PDFs.
  • Familiarity with resources like ChatGPT for problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills to clarify ambiguous requests.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with MLA formatting or academic writing is beneficial.
  • Adaptable and quick to learn new processes and tools.
  • Independent and self-starting, able to work through challenges without constant supervision.
  • Resourceful in figuring out solutions such as using bookmarks and hyperlinks for complex numbering.
  • Patient and able to handle trial-and-error learning.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position, allowing for work to be completed at the contractor's convenience as long as deadlines are met. The role is ideal for someone who prefers working independently with minimal direct interaction. You will have the opportunity to interact with project managers, field personnel, and other office staff as needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Boonton, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
