Job Description

As a Customer Service - Self Storage Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Working independently at multiple locations, spending time both inside and outside to assess customer storage needs and make suggestions for packing and moving supplies
  • Conducting daily storage unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability, ensuring spaces are ready to rent
  • Auditing cash drawers and making bank deposits as part of the daily business
  • Helping customers stay current with payments and making reminder and collection calls when required
  • Providing exceptional customer service, resolving issues, and exceeding customer expectations
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including sweeping/mopping interior areas and maintaining exterior grounds/curb appeal clean and free of debris

Physical Requirements

As a Customer Service - Self Storage Manager, you'll need to be able to:

  • Transport, lift, and move items weighing up to 35 pounds
  • Spend up to 50% of your time in outdoor environments, including climbing stairs and opening large doors
  • Perform cleaning and daily maintenance tasks, including sweeping/mopping interior areas and maintaining exterior grounds/curb appeal clean and free of debris

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience in customer service-centered sales environments, including retail, restaurant, fast food, or other service-based companies
  • A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for traveling between work locations and conducting other work-related business (mileage reimbursement available)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A strong customer service focus, with a passion for delivering exceptional experiences
  • Basic math skills and the ability to accurately handle cash and make bank deposits
