The Cloud Engineer will collaborate with project teams to solve complex problems, automate cloud resource provisioning, and design and deploy cloud services, ensuring effective communication and accountability throughout project tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate within a project team to solve complex problems
  • Create scripts and templates to automate the provisioning of cloud resources
  • Adapt and learn new technologies quickly in a dynamic environment
  • Design and deploy cloud services in a high-performance production environment
  • Work independently on assigned project tasks while maintaining accountability and communication
  • Actively contribute to project workstreams, demonstrating measurable progress and ownership of deliverables

Skills

  • Experience working with databases, compute, storage, and networks on one or more of the following platforms: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), VMware, or Oracle Cloud Platform
  • Hands-on experience performing a Cloud Migration or a Cloud Modernization project
  • This is a hybrid, onsite role based in the DC Metro area, candidates must be local or willing to relocate
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Worked on or implemented a Cloud migration project
  • Relevant cloud certifications, such as Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and serverless technologies, such as AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions, or Azure Functions
  • Exposure to DevOps Methodologies, including the use of orchestration and management tools such as Chef, Ansible, or similar platforms
  • Active Secret clearance or higher
