[Remote] Brand Strategist & Social Media Content Manager

Merinos is a growth-minded DTC ecommerce footwear brand focused on premium Merino wool shoes designed for comfort, performance, and everyday wear. They are seeking a motivated brand strategist and social media content manager to enhance their brand presence and elevate social media engagement. The role involves managing organic marketing, content creation, and social media strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Help refine and evolve brand voice, tone, and visual identity
  • Develop content pillars and storytelling angles
  • Ensure brand consistency across social platforms and website
  • Contribute creative direction for campaigns and launches
  • Manage day-to-day posting across platforms (IG, TikTok, etc.)
  • Build and execute a social content calendar
  • Generate captions and website articles aligned with brand voice
  • Manage public engagement on behalf of the brand (commenting on posts, etc.)
  • Ideate and produce creative content, both static and video (both personally and commissioned)
  • Coordinate UGC sourcing and creator collaborations
  • Tailor content for social formats
  • Support creative for homepage, PDPs, and landing pages
  • Assist with campaign visuals and messaging
  • Repurpose social content for web/email usage

Skills

  • Recent, hands-on social media management experience
  • Portfolio of brands/accounts you've managed
  • Proven ability to create engaging short-form content
  • Strong eye for design, brand, and storytelling
  • Comfortable working in a remote, DTC environment
  • Self-directed/motivated and execution-oriented
  • Footwear or apparel experience
  • UGC sourcing / creator management
  • Light video editing (CapCut, Premiere, etc.)
  • Familiarity with paid social creative strategy
