Appearance Attorney - NYC
Friedman Vartolo LLP is a fast-growing, New York-based law firm specializing in real estate and default services. They are seeking an appearance attorney to cover a wide range of bankruptcy, foreclosure, and eviction related appearances mainly in the 5 boroughs, looking for individuals with a strong work ethic and eagerness to grow alongside the firm.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in a variety of default service court proceedings, including bankruptcy, foreclosure, and eviction-related matters across all five boroughs
- Maintain regular and professional communication with clients, providing updates and addressing inquiries promptly
- Manage a high volume of legal matters, including settlement negotiations and litigated cases, ensuring efficient and effective resolution of each assignment
Skills
- Admission to the New York State Bar; admission in New Jersey or Pennsylvania is a plus
- Eligibility for or willingness to waive into the corresponding federal district courts
- Strong courtroom presence with excellent public speaking and advocacy skills
- Proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve legal issues efficiently
- Confident, professional demeanor with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
