AV Service Business Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a high‑energy, assertive Business Development Manager (BDM) with strong experience in the Audiovisual (AV) / ProAV industry to drive rapid growth of our AV services and managed services portfolio. This role demands a hunter mindset, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to secure net‑new service contracts across enterprise, education, entertainment, and corporate environments.

What you'll do

  • Proactively prospect and acquire new AV services contracts, including support, maintenance, managed services, and lifecycle management.
  • Execute high-volume outbound outreach (cold calls, LinkedIn, email campaigns, networking) to drive pipeline growth.
  • Sell AV Service offerings such as AV Help Desk, Managed AV Services, AV maintenance, event support, and AV system monitoring.
  • Engage with CIOs, CTOs, AV/IT directors, and facilities managers to build long-term service relationships.
  • Represent the company at AV industry events including InfoComm and AVIXA activities.
  • Maintain CRM accuracy, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments such Sales, Service, Marketing and Operations teams to align business development activities with overall company strategy
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends and growth opportunities in target markets.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience in the AV / ProAV industry.
  • Strong understanding of AV technologies (Pixera, ISSAC, QSC, Extron, Shure, Biamp and DV-LED Displays).
  • Proven success in securing new service or support contracts.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CTS, CTS‑D, or CTS‑I certifications.
  • Experience with AV integrators, manufacturers, or MSPs.
  • Mission critical transportation and airport experience
