Staff Accountant (Hybrid)

Northwest Administrators, Inc. is an industry leader in third-party administration of employee benefits. They are seeking a Staff Accountant who will be responsible for maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports.

Responsibilities

  • Create journal entries to record transactions on a modified cash basis
  • Reconcile all cash and investment accounts monthly
  • Prepare financial statements accurately and within required timeframes
  • Monitor and facilitate appropriate and timely processing of Trust expenses
  • Calculate premium and administrative fees timely and accurately
  • Back-up daily cash management and investment directives tasks, as needed

Skills

  • Knowledge accounting principles and practices
  • 1+ year of operational accounting; employee benefits experience a plus
  • Degree in Accounting or related field or combination of education and experience
  • Work independently as well as collaborate with others
  • Able to quickly assess and analyze problems and develop solutions
  • Proficient in MS Office with advanced level QuickBooks & Excel
